Running inspiration: The NY marathoners help Sandy Survivors

You were created to love and be loved. You were meant to live life in relationship with other people, to know and be known.  You need to know that your story is important and that you’re part of a bigger story.  You need to know that your life matters.  You are not alone, and this is not the end of your story.

Spread love to those around you, pray for those who hurt, and remember the friends we have lost.

Yep, love my cross country team. I can definitely say we are all sisters.

Still so inspiring. Katherine Switzer signed up for the Boston Marathon, which at the time was only for men. The entire race she dodged officials (some even tried to tackled her to take her out of the race). Other men and runners protected her so that she could finish the marathon.

What an inspiration. Can’t wait to see Shalane, Kara and Desi all competing this summer!
